Background
Tshangana Attorneys Inc. is a 100% black-owned personal liability company established on 1 April 2016 and based in East London, Eastern Cape. The firm is led by its founding director and sole shareholder, Vuyolwethu (Vuyo) Tshangana, supported by an admitted attorney and administrative staff.
We provide high-quality, versatile legal services with particular strength in public sector and governance matters, labour and employment law (including chairing and representing parties in disciplinary proceedings), administrative law, commercial and contract work, conveyancing and bond registrations, and litigation.
Building on that foundation, the firm is growing its estate planning, conveyancing and notarial practice, while continuing to specialise in corporate governance and commercial contracts.
Our clients include provincial government departments, public entities and SOEs, municipalities, corporate clients and private individuals across the Eastern Cape and beyond. The firm actively embraces and promotes the transformation agenda of the South African legal profession.

Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 2002, Vuyo brings more than 24 years of post-admission experience combining private legal practice with senior public-sector leadership in law, public finance, governance and compliance.
Civil, criminal and labour litigation in the High Court and lower courts.
Senior Legal Advisor.
Led the public finance compliance unit; developed finance policies; served on procurement committees; drafted and negotiated contracts; represented Treasury before SCOPA.
